मिलाग्रीस हायस्कूल सावंतवाडी येथे आंतरराष्ट्रीय पुरुष दिन उत्साहात साजरा करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमाची सुरुवात नृत्याच्या माध्यमातून परमेश्वराचे स्मरण करीत तसेच बहारदार नृत्याचे सादरीकरण करून करण्यात आली .आरोग्यदायी केळीच्या वृक्षाच्या माध्यमातून उपस्थित शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी या सर्वांच्या हस्ते दीप प्रज्वलन करण्यात आले व केक कापून वातावरणामध्ये गोडवा निर्माण करण्यात आला. यानंतर सर्वांच्या प्रेमाचे प्रतीक म्हणून उपस्थित सर्व शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी वर्गाला भेटवस्तू, गुलाब पुष्प व ग्रीटिंग कार्ड प्रदान करण्यात आले. या दिनाचे औचित्य साधत शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी वर्गातून छत्तीस वर्षे सेवा बजावलेल्या श्री. रॉबिन कार्डोज यांना शाल, श्रीफळ व गुलाब पुष्प देऊन माननीय मुख्याध्यापकांच्या हस्ते सन्मानित करण्यात आले तसेच विद्यार्थी वर्गातून कु. चैतन्य प्रदीप गावडे या विद्यार्थ्याला प्राथमिक स्वरूपात पर्यवेक्षिका सौ. मेघना राऊळ यांच्या हस्ते सन्मानित करण्यात आले.
यानंतर फ्लोंरिडा रेसफर्नांडिस यांनी पुरुष दिनाचे महत्त्व विशद केले. ‘स्पॉट प्राईज’ च्या माध्यमातून या दिवसातील भाग्यवान पुरुष विजेत्यांना बक्षीस प्रदान करण्यात आले .त्यानंतर प्रशालेचे मुख्याध्यापक रे.फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना यांनी उपस्थित सर्वांना जागतिक पुरुष दिनाच्या शुभेच्छा देत आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले .या कार्यक्रमास प्रशालेचे मुख्याध्यापक रे.फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना,पर्यवेक्षिका सौ. मेघना राऊळ टीचर ,सर्व शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी व विद्यार्थी वर्ग उपस्थित होते.

On Monday 14 November 2022, Milagris School celebrated Children’s day with great festive fervour to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The day completely focused on children and their enjoyment. The programme began with a special assembly conducted by the teachers, followed by an informative and inspirational speech by chief guest Prof. Rupesh Patil. The Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha also wished children on this special day.
To make the day more memorable and entertaining, the Principal with his melodious song, the female teachers with their eye-catching dance, and the humorous-cum-educational skit of male teachers’ performances left a lasting impact on the students. Food stalls and game stalls were put up and planned meticulously by the school staff. The special activity of taking students’ thumbprints to colour Cha cha Nehru’s photo, grabbed the attention of students the most.
It was an unstoppable day wherein the children utilized this liberty and played games to their hearts’ content. There was indeed excitement in the air. At last, the little ones left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day there.
दिनांक 4 ऑक्टोबर 2022 रोजी मिलाग्रीस हायस्कूल मध्ये शालेय क्रीडा स्पर्धांचे शानदार आयोजन करण्यात आले.शालेय क्रीडा स्पर्धांमध्ये नेहरू हाऊस, विवेकानंद हाऊस,बोस हाऊस आणि टागोर हाऊस या शालेय परंपरेप्रमाणे असलेल्या विविध गटांनी सहभाग घेतला. स्पर्धेच्या उद्घाटन प्रसंगी शाळेचा ध्वज उभारून मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते ध्वजारोहण करण्यात आले. त्याचप्रमाणे शालेय विद्यार्थी प्रतिनिधींनी मशाल घेऊन संपूर्ण मैदानाला प्रदक्षिणा घालत स्पर्धेची सुरुवात केली . या कार्यक्रमाच्या उद्घाटन प्रसंगी पंचायत समिती सावंतवाडी चे गटविकास अधिकारी श्री .वासुदेव नाईक साहेब प्रशालाचे मुख्याध्यापक रे. फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना उपमुख्याध्यापिका सि.मेबल करवालो, सिस्टर कसँड्रा, सिस्टर ट्रिझा,पर्यवेक्षिका मेघना राऊळ तसेच शालेय व्यवस्थापन समिती प्रतिनिधी श्री. शेख आदी उपस्थित होते.
यानंतर विविध मैदानी स्पर्धांमध्ये कबड्डी, फुटबॉल, लंगडी, व्हॉलीबॉल, रस्सीखेच, डॉजबॉल व रिले या स्पर्धा संपन्न झाल्या. या स्पर्धांमधून विजयी व उपविजयी संघाला चषक त्याचप्रमाणे सहभागी व विजयी तसेच उपविजयी सर्व खेळाडूंना मेडल्स देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. प्रत्येक खेळ प्रकारातून उत्कृष्ट खेळाडूची निवड करण्यात आली व त्यांना सन्मानचिन्ह देऊन गौरविण्यात आले. या स्पर्धा 14 वर्षाखालील व 17 वर्षाखालील गटात घेण्यात आल्या.
स्पर्धेचे आयोजन व नियोजन करण्यासाठी प्रशालेचे क्रीडा शिक्षक श्री राजेंद्र मोरे व शेरॉन अल्फांसो, सर्व शिक्षक व शिक्षकेतर कर्मचारी, शालेय मंत्रिमंडळातील सहभागी सर्व विद्यार्थी व सर्व शालेय विद्यार्थी यांनी विशेष मेहनत घेतली. शेवटी प्रशालेचे मुख्याध्यापक रे.फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना यांनी सर्वांचे आभार व्यक्त केले.
दिनांक. 11 ऑगस्ट 2022 रोजी रक्षाबंधन या सणाचे औचित्य साधून मिलग्रीस हायस्कूल च्या विद्यार्थिनींनी सावंतवाडी कारागृहातील बांधवांना राखी बांधून भावा- बहिणीच्या पावित्र नात्याची प्रचिती आणून देत सामाजिक बांधिलकी जोपासली. यावेळी कारागृहातील बांधवांना ओवाळून राखी बांधली गेली. यामध्ये कु. आर्या राणे, सिद्धी फुंदे ,श्रावणी सावंत, आर्या परब , गायत्री धुरी या विद्यार्थिनींचा समावेश होता. यावेळी जेल अधीक्षक श्री. ब्रम्हदेव लटपटे, मिलाग्रीस हायस्कूल चे मुख्याध्यापक रे. फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना शिक्षक श्री. नीलेश घाटगे,श्री. अमोल राऊळ सौ. अनिता सडवेलकर व अन्य कारागृहातील कर्मचारी आदी उपस्थित होते.
यावेळी भारावून गेलेल्या बांधवांनी आपण यापुढे सत्याच्या मार्गाने जात सर्वांचे रक्षण करण्यासाठी प्रयत्न करू असे आश्वासन दिले. यावेळी अधीक्षक श्री. ब्रम्हदेव लटपटे यांनी शाळेच्या या उपक्रमाचे कौतुक केले व सर्वांचे आभार मानले. मुख्याध्यापक रिचर्ड सालदाना यांनी सर्वांना रक्षाबंधन निमित्त शुभेच्छा दिल्या.
On 30 July 2022 Parents’ day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm in the school hall. The programme commenced with a welcome song followed by the lighting of the lamp by the chief guests and the eminent personalities Dr. Pravin Masurkar and Dr. Prajakta Masurkar, the Principal Rev. Father Richard Saldanha, and the Vice Principal Sister Mabel Carvalho. The guests were welcomed and felicitated with presentation of shawls and shrifal and a bouquet of flowers.
Miss Siddhi Phunde expressed her thoughts on the occasion. Thereafter, the graceful dancers presented ‘thanksgiving dance’ to greet the parents. It was followed by the special pledge taken by students to honour the parents for their selfless love and caring. Next, the students presented greeting cards to their parents expressing a sign of affection among them and the healthy bond that they share with each other. It was an emotional moment indeed. Master Philip Fernades the Head Boy expressed his gratitude towards parents by his solo performance.
Dr. Pravin Masurkar in his speech addressed the gathering by praising the discipline of the school and it’s role in inculcating the values among students. The Principal laid stress on the role of parents on mental, physical and academic development of students.
The theme “We love you Parents ” was befitted, synchronized well with the music beats to vibe with. The programme was anchored and moderated by Tr. Anthonisa Fernandes and Tr. Roza Fernandes respectively. The programme ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Sir Ajit Naik.
मिलाग्रीस हायस्कूल सावंतवाडी येथे 2021- 2022 साली उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या इयत्ता दहावी व बारावीच्या विद्यार्थ्यांचा सत्कार समारंभ दिनांक 30 जून 2022 रोजी आयोजित करण्यात आला. कार्यक्रमाच्या सुरुवातीला प्रमुख मान्यवर रे. फादर ॲलेक्स डिमेलो तसेच इतर मान्यवर यांच्या शुभहस्ते दीप प्रज्वलित करण्यात आला. यानंतर प्रशालेचे मुख्याध्यापक रे .फादर रीचर्ड सालदाना यांच्या शुभहस्ते पुष्पगुच्छ देऊन प्रमुख मान्यवरांचे स्वागत करण्यात आले.
टीचर संध्या मुणगेकर यांनी इयत्ता दहावी व बारावी च्या 100/ निकालाचे वाचन केले. यशस्वी सर्व विद्यार्थ्यांना सन्मानचिन्ह व गुलाब पुष्प देऊन मान्यवरांच्या हस्ते सन्मानित करण्यात आले.तसेच 2020-21 मध्ये झालेल्या इयत्ता पाचवी व इयत्ता आठवी शिष्यवृत्ती परीक्षेतील यशस्वी विद्यार्थ्यांचा सत्कार यावेळी उपमुख्याध्यापिका सि. मेबल कर्वालो तसेच पर्यवेक्षिका मेघना राऊळ यांच्या हस्ते करण्यात आला. यानंतर विद्यार्थ्यांमधून कु. तन्मय मुणनकर यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले तर यशस्वी विद्यार्थ्यांच्या पालकांमधून पत्रकार श्री.संतोष सावंत यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले.
कार्यक्रमाला उद्देशून रे.फादर ॲलेक्स डिमेलो तसेच प्रशालेचे मुख्याध्यापक रे. फादर रिचर्ड सालदाना यांनी आपले मनोगत व्यक्त केले व पुढील वाटचालीस शुभेच्छा दिल्या .कार्यक्रमाचे आभार शिक्षक श्री. विजय इलकर यांनी मानले तर सूत्रसंचालन शिक्षिका नाजीमा आमदानी यांनी केले.

International Yoga Day was celebrated in Milagris on 21st June with great enthusiasm. Chief Guest Dr. Sangita Tupkar , assistant Asha Mulik and Ranjana Otawnekar were welcomed by Principal Fr Richard Saldanha.
The function began with a brief introduction of Yoga Day. Yoga expert Dr. Tupkar explained the importance of Yoga and further added that regular practice of yoga makes the body strong and flexible, as health improves , the mind too is renewed with confidence. After warm up , Asanas were performed by Scouts and Guides of classes 7th & 8th. Simultaneously importance of each asana was explained by the expert.
Yoga Day was a grand success.
The Maharashtra Education Board announced the SSC result 2022 today. Excellence in academics is a hallmark of Milagris and March 2022 result proves that our students have brought laurels to the school. 211 students appeared for SSC Examination,March 2022 Result –100% . 163 students have obtained distinction. Among them 43 students have scored 90%and above.
Chairman Bishop Alwyn Barreto, Secretary Fr Manvel D’Souza, Manager Fr Millet Dsouza , Principal Fr. Richard Saldanha, Vice Principal Sister Mabel Carvalho, Supervisor Tr Meghana Rawool, Teaching and Non teaching staff as well as parents wholeheartedly congratulated all the toppers for their wonderful performance.
Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher secondary Education has announced HSC result 2022 today. This is the 4th consecutive year, Milagris Junior College has set a record of obtaining 100 % result. A total of 58 students had appeared for exam held in March 2022. The results are as follows:

Plastic bottle collection activity was conducted at Milagris High School, Sawantwadi from 21st March, 2022 to 28th March, 2022. Students of the school collected discarded plastic bottles from their home, from neighbourhood, as well as from the surrounding areas, and brought them to the school. The collected plastic bottles were handed over to Sawantwadi Municipality on 31st March 2022.
The students handed over the collection of approximately 70 to 80 bags of discarded plastic bottles to the Supervisor of the Health Department of Sawantwadi Municipality Nadkarni Madam. Hon. Nadkarni Madam commended and congratulated the students for this innovative initiative.
This innovative concept was devised by the Principal of the school Rev. Father Richard Saldanha. The students of class V to VIII spontaneously participated in this initiative. The sole purpose of conducting this activity is to create
awareness among students about the harmful effects of the plastic.
An Art Exhibition was organised at Milagris High School on Thursday 31st March, 2022 was surely splendid. The amount of enthusiasm and the talented works of the students from class V to XI were remarkable and considerable wherein more than four hundred and fifty painting works had been exhibited. The students presented their works in various genres like Sketches, Portraits, Paintings, and Mandal Arts. The school premises was adorned and decorated with eye-catching innumerable paintings.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Prof. Shri Morajkar from B. S. Bandekar Fine Arts College, Sawantwadi. In his address, he praised and appreciated the artworks presented by the students. He shared his opinions on the thoughtful ideas and presentations given by the students in the exhibition. He also spoke some words on the importance of arts in the life of a person.
The exhibition was skilfully devised by the Principal of the school, Rev. Father Richard Saldanha. He said that students should cultivate any of the art forms as a hobby along with school studies. He further said that an art improves the child’s ability in expression and feeling. He congratulated and lauded the efforts of the students as well as teachers for the innovative work done with
great passion and vigour showcased in the exhibition.
The anchoring as well as the arrangement of the programme was done by Sir Ganesh Dicholkar. Tr. Nilangi proposed a vote of thanks.
International Women’s Day was celebrated at Milagris High School on March 8, 2022 to recognise the contribution and significance and to bring the awareness among the students regarding the status and dignity of a women. On this occasion, various programs were organized by the School. Senior Clerk Miss Rosita D’Souza of Primary section, and a student representative Miss Shravani Baliram Sawant, from class 9th B were felicitated by the Principal of the school for their outstanding work/ performances in all these years & being an outstanding student. All the female employees were also honoured with a greeting card and a flower as a token of love and appreciation for all their love, affection, contribution, dedication and their achievements.
To commemorate this day all the male staff of the school presented entertainment programs. The program concluded with an enlightening message from the Principal of the school, Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha. In his message, he expressed his views on the different roles of women in today’s society and highly appreciated women and their role in all walks of life. He also beautifully explained the acrostic of the word ‘women’.
The anchoring of the program was done by an assistant teacher Sir Ganesh Dicholkar. Sir Dattaram Naik gave a speech about the history of Women’s Day and women’s achievements in various fields. Sir Sushant Joshi entertained everyone through a beautiful song on the same occasion and Master Pranav Patil from class 6thexpressed his views in his speech on Woman as a wonderful creation of God. The programme concluded with a heart touching vote of thanks delivered by Teacher Sharda Gawade.
The farewell programme of SSC and HSC students was organized On Saturday,26 February 2022, in Milagris High School Hall. Teachers and students were asked to report in the school hall by 10.00 am. The hall stage and the notice board was decorated beautifully.
The farewell programme was organised by the Management, Principal, Milagris High School, Primary Section, Pre – Primary and Junior College. Miss. Arya and Master Brian welcomed the Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha, Vice- Principal Sr. Mabel, and supervisor Tr. Meghna Raool, teaching, non-teaching staff and HSC, and SSC students.
Sir. Gore and Sir. Amol started the programme with a Musical prayer. Mast. ShlokTopale prayed a special prayer for everyone. Miss. Kinjal Gujar from class IX delivered a speech. Students of class XI performed an energetic and beautiful dance for their seniors. Mast. Jude Ferrao of class XI expressed his gratitude and memories in his speech.
A Dance number wasarranged by class IX (ABCD) Students. Miss. ShravaniKarvekar from class 10A gave a farewell speech followed by Mast. YashMulik from class XII . And then it was a time to award the student of the year from class X .The students awarded were as follows :
Miss. Sanika Sanjay Puralkar of Science stream was awarded the Student of the year of Junior College 2021-2022. She was felicitated by our Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha.
In Principal’s message Rev. Fr. Richard prayed and wished all the best for all SSC & HSC Students for forth coming Board examination.

On 28th February 2022, Panchayat Samiti Sawantwadi, Rotary club of Sawantwadi and Yashwantrao Bhosale Polytechnic organized Taluka level Science exhibition 2022 in Yashwantrao International School. Mrs Sushma Kenni was the cheif guest, Mrs Bodake and many our personalities were present for the inaugural programme.
There were two groups 5th to 8th and 9th -10 th in this competition. Milagris High School won two prizes Green Energy project of 9D class won leaded by Master Philip Bentaloise, Riya Mhalatkar, Siddhesh Mane 2nd prize, where as Multipurpose Agricultural machine leaded by Chaitanya Gawade, Paras Mestry of 9B class won consolation prize in 9th-10th group.
18 February 2022, Friday, on Milagris High School ground ,the farewell programme to Tr. Elizabeth Almeida was organized. Teachers and students where asked to report on the school ground at 8 : 00 am. The school stage and notice board were beautifully decorated.
The farewell event was organised by The Management, Principal, Milagris High school, Primary and Pre-primary School. Tr.Vilma welcomed and introduced The Principal Rev. Fr.Richard Saldanha,Vice-Principal Sr.Mabel,Tr Elizabeth and her family members,teaching, non-teaching staff and the students.Special prayer was said by Tr Alria.Certificate of honour was read by Tr.Livy. On behalf of Management, Tr. Elizabeth was felicated by Rev. Fr.Richard by giving away the certificate of honour, shawl and floral bouquet. Students also gifted her handmade flowers and cards.
Tr. Flavia shared her thoughts about Tr. Elizabeth’s nature, job and her hobbies in her speech. With lot of gratitude and filled with emotions Tr. Elizabeth shared her past memories about joining the school and service, she thanked all her Principals,Vice-principals, teaching, non-teaching staff,her family and students. Rev Fr.Richard our Principal conveyed best wishes to Tr. Elizabeth and prayed her for happy retired life.

Feb 10 : Solid waste management is one among the basic essential services provided by municipal authorities in the country, a part of Swatch Bharat Mission, a country wide campaign initiated by the Govt. of India. Jr. Supervisor Madam Rasika Nadkarni and the team members of Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Sawantwadi Municipal Council presented a demo showing management and disposal of waste. Stress was laid on 3R’s is Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. Topics such as discarding, destroying, processing, recycling, reusing were covered during the seminar. Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha thanked the team members and assured them that each student will work to achieve the objective of Clean India Mission.
Sawantwadi, January 26: Milagris High School & Junior College celebrated Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced with the flag hoisting by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr. Milet D’souza, Manager of Milagris School followed by a march past. The spirit of nationalism was well exhibited by the students through a patriotic song and a speech. Committed to the task of nation building, both faculty and students pledged to serve their motherland through spreading education and serving the community. The celebration concluded with the inspiring speech by the Chief Guest.

4th Jan. 2022 was a very special day for all Milagrians as it was the birthday of their Principal, Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha. The celebration started with a special prayer followed by cutting of Birthday cake at the tune of birthday song.
Dance and a skit performance by the students of High School and Junior College added spice to the day. Father was showered with the heaps and piles of good wishes and birthday gifts. Sweets were distributed to all.
Father concluded the celebration by thanking each and everyone for making the day special.
23 Dec: Christmas – A celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It brings cheer and love and Milagris High school celebrated it with the same fervous on 23rd December, spreading the message of love and joy among the children.
The programme began with a beautiful prayer dance followed by various competitions. It is said, “The best way spread Christmas cheer is to sing aloud for all to hear.”
The students participated in the Housewise Carol Singing Competition with a cheerful spirit. The theme – Emmanuel, God with us was beautifully presented by the participants of Tagore House, Nehru House, Bose House and Vivekananda House Manager Rev. Fr.Millet D’souza, Fr. William, Sister Archanaand Sister Christina were the special invitees. Fr. Royston & Fr. Brias were the members of the jury Santa danced to the exciting tunes of Jingle Bells.
The best Santa was selected among the tiny tots of Primary section. Winners of Nehru House (I) and Tagore House (II) were awarded with a trophy and certificates. The shield was presented to Bose House. Christmas cakes and gifts were distributed to the students. The programme ended with a special Christmas message by the Principal, Rev Fr. Richard Saldanha.
The school environment was enriched with the positive energy of happiness and celebration.
November 15 : Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is a progress, working together is a success. This is what one experiences in Milagris. The Management, staff and students witnessed the blessing and inauguration of the school hall. The hall was inaugurated by the honorable Chief Guest Rt. Rev. Bishop Alwyn Barretto, the Chairman of SDET and Bishop of Diocease of Sindhudurg.
The occasion graced by the Guest of Honour – Dr. Mushtak Shaikh, Education Officer (Sec) . The hall was beautifully embellished with balloons,ribbons and flowers. The primary aim behind renovating the hall according to the Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha is to encourage the students to participate in various public speaking and events organized in school.
The Manager of SDET, Rev. Fr. Millet D’souza, Fr. Anand, Fr. Suresh, Fr. Francis, Fr. Melvin were the distinguished invitees. The programme started with a formal lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a prayer dance and a mime. Mast. Shardul Bagve a student of std. 9th was felicitated by the Chief Guest for his distinguished performance in MTS Examination. The occasion graced by the Guest of Honour – Dr. Mushtak Shaikh, Education Officer (Sec) . The hall was beautifully embellished with balloons, ribbons and flowers. The primary aim behind renovating the hall according to the Principal Rev. Fr. Richard Saldanha is to encourage the students to participate in various public speaking and events organized in school.
The Manager of SDET, Rev. Fr. Millet D’souza, Fr. Anand, Fr. Suresh, Fr. Francis, Fr. Melvin were the distinguished invitees. The programme started with a formal lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a prayer dance and a mime. Mast. Shardul Bagve a student of std. 9th was felicitated by the Chief Guest for his distinguished performance in MTS Examination.
